Pasta with artichokes

Food and Cooking are so important in Italy . And you can find nice recipes also in Italian films.

Today we would like to share with you a recipes with artichokes from a



Maccheroni ai carciofi (Pasta with artichokes )

6 artichokes
1 lemon

400 g maccheroni
350g peeled tomatoes
3 cloves garlic
20 basil leaves
a spring of thyme
50g grated Parmigiano
2 tablespoons stock
olive oil
butter

salt and pepper


Peel and chop the garlic. Fry it with 5 spoons of oil, add the peeled tomatoes. Simmer for 10 minutes. Clean the artichokes to the hearts, slice them and put into water with lemon juice. Cook them for 15 minutes with butter, salt and pepper. Mix together the 2 sauces, add basil and thyme. from the film “Il Postino”

Suggestion : if you like ,you can add 3 salted Italian anchovies
